My 30-year career as a K-12 school guidance counselor in Virginia’s public schools has given me great preparation for my work in the financial services business. The character traits that have made me a well-known and respected counselor in schools throughout Virginia have also brought me success as an insurance agent. I will do my best to handle your insurance needs with the professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, and trustworthiness that you look for in an insurance agent. First, I will listen well as you describe your financial situation and dreams for your future. Then, I will work to develop a customized plan to meet your needs. I will be in this for the long haul with you to help you adapt your plans as life changes occur.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Communications at James Madison University and a master’s degree in Education and Counseling from Regent University. I enjoy time with my wife and daughters, and now my first grandson, in adventures locally and in travels internationally. I also enjoy reading, gardening, camping, fishing, and hiking. Additionally, my free time is spent in service to the community through the Gideons International. I have held various offices for the Gideons and served as a speaker in many localities throughout Virginia over the past 35 years.
My primary goal is to continue my work with Virginia’s educators, whom I greatly admire and respect. I want to help you as educators, and others seeking my services, develop a solid plan for living your best life now as well as in your retirement. I am excited to have access to a wide range of insurance products that can help you achieve your desired outcome. I am able to put client needs first, over any individual agenda that comes with the pressure of being limited to a specific company’s product lines and sales quotas. Making your life better is a noble cause worthy of my wholehearted pursuit!
